Tocotrienols Tocopherol from EnergyBalance® is a powerful antioxidant complex based on natural vitamin E in different forms (alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocotrienols and alpha-tocopherol). Most vitamin E supplements contain mainly the alpha form of tocopherols - but this vitamin E from EnergyBalance® contains a tocotrienol-tocopherol complex from natural sources and is therefore effective in combating oxidative stress across a broader spectrum.

  • Natural vitamin E antioxidant complex to optimize the vitamin E supply
  • With tocotrienols and tocopherol (alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-tocotrienols and alpha-tocopherol)
  • Tocotrienols are rarely found in food
  • Most vitamin E supplements contain mainly the alpha form of tocopherols - this also contains tocotrienols

Vitamin E is a group of micronutrients that are essential for human health and vitality. Vitamin E includes eight similar compounds that occur naturally in plants and promote important antioxidant processes in the human and animal body.

As vitamin E cannot be produced by the body itself, this vital substance must be obtained from food. Vitamin E is found, for example, in nuts, seeds and vegetable oils as well as green leafy vegetables and cereals. Although vitamin E is an essential nutrient, it does not need to be ingested daily as it can be stored in fatty tissue in the body. According to studies, however, only 50 percent of the population manage to cover their daily vitamin E requirements with food.

Different forms of vitamin E
The group of E vitamins can be divided into tocopherols and tocotrienols. There are 4 tocopherols (alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-tocopherol) and 4 tocotrienols (alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-tocotrienol). The two main forms are alpha-tocopherol and gamma-tocopherol. The two groups tocopherols and tocotrienols have the same core structure, but differ in their side chains. Both therefore have a similar structure, but also some differences, and therefore have different properties and benefits for our health. For this reason, it is important to consume both forms of vitamin E - tocopherols and tocotrienols - in sufficient quantities. As tocotrienols are rarely found in food, it can be useful to use a dietary supplement that contains both forms of vitamin E. This ensures that our body can benefit from all the positive effects of vitamin E.
Most vitamin E supplements contain mainly α-tocopherol, the alpha form of tocopherols, which is considered the standard for vitamin E activity. Tocotrienols Tocopherol Vitamin E from EnergyBalance®, on the other hand, contains a tocotrienol-tocopherol complex from natural sources - the alpha, beta, gamma and delta forms of tocotrienol and alpha-tocopherol vitamin E - and is therefore effective in combating oxidative stress across a broader spectrum. Our high-quality and purely plant-based food supplement can therefore help you to optimize your vitamin E supply.

Factor X, or vitamin E
Tn 1922, Dr. Herber Evans and his assistant discovered what was long known as "Factor X", which can prevent the death of animal fetuses. It was vitamin E. Vitamin E was thus recognized as an essential nutrient from 1927. In 1936, a factor with the same biological activity as vitamin E was isolated from wheat germ oil: α-tocopheroll.

A very powerful antioxidant against free radicals
Compared to alpha-tocopherol, alpha-tocotrienol has an antioxidant effect that is 40 to 60 times greater. After all, it is one of the strongest antioxidants that can have a decisive effect against free radicals. Over the last 10 years, numerous studies have been carried out that emphasize the positive effects of tocotrienols as antioxidants.
