What is a Psychobiotic Supplement?
The term "Psychobiotic" refers to a special type of probiotic, that is, a "good" bacterium that lives in our gut, but with a unique characteristic: in addition to promoting intestinal functions, it also has the ability to influence the mental sphere. Our gut is often called the "second brain" because it is in close communication with the brain through a network of nerve and hormonal signals. This connection is called the gut-brain axis.
