The immune system is a complex network of cells, tissues, and mechanisms capable of recognizing and neutralizing external agents (viruses, bacteria, fungi) as well as altered cells. It works on two levels: innate immunity (rapid and not highly specialized, typical in children) and acquired immunity (specific and able to respond in a targeted way).
With a weakened immune system, pathogens find it easier to “get through.” Stress, poor sleep, nutrient deficiencies, intestinal imbalance, pollutants, and aging are among the main causes of weakened defenses. The realistic goal is not to never get sick, but to get sick less often and recover faster.
Supplements provide micronutrients when diet alone is not enough or during critical periods (seasonal changes, stress, intense activity). They are not medicines and not miracle solutions: the response is gradual and depends on initial condition, consistency, and lifestyle. They include classic vitamins and minerals, but also specific blends carefully formulated, or antioxidants recently rediscovered by science and in some cases already used in traditional practices.
Supplements do not replace a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. In case of illnesses or medication, always seek medical advice.
