Protein Pulver ORGANIC & vegan from EnergyBalance® with a protein content of 59% is suitable as a sports shake, meal replacement or even addition to muesli. It consists of an innovative mix of pea and hemp protein and maca and was sweetened with prebiotic inulin. The ingredients have been deliberately balanced for a correct ratio between carbohydrates and protein, as well as a balanced amino acid profile. The pea and hemp protein provides you with all the essential amino acids - your body cannot produce these itself, yet it needs them urgently: to build up the body's own proteins, which in turn are in hormones and all cells.

Protein, also called egg white, is a basic building block of all living organisms. Depending on age, the body consists of an average of 7 to 13 kg of protein. They perform a variety of functions, including serving as building materials for cells and tissues, enzymes, hormones, antibodies, clotting factors, and transporting nutrients... Dietary proteins can also provide energy - 1 g of protein provides 4 kcal. Body cells are constantly renewed. They are therefore dependent on a regular supply of protein. It is not only the quantity but also the quality of the protein that is important. The human organism needs 20 amino acids for protein synthesis. They are divided into essential and non-essential amino acids. Strictly speaking, there is a physiological requirement only for nitrogen and the nine essential amino acids. Since the body cannot produce them itself, they must be supplied regularly with food. Please also note our Amino9Mix.

Protein is found throughout the body - in muscles, bones, skin, hair and virtually any other part of the body or tissue. It forms the enzymes that drive many chemical reactions and the haemoglobin that transports oxygen in the blood. At least 10,000 different proteins make you what you are.

Protein sustains weight and fat loss
When aiming to achieve a solid calorie deficit for weight loss, protein powder could be of help. Protein helps keep you fuller for longer, what reduces snacking and leads to fewer overall calories consumed. Further, protein has been linked to a slightly higher metabolism which helps to burn more calories throughout the day, and even while you sleep at night.

Protein reduces the urge to snack
If snacking is getting in the way of your regular eating habits or you're looking to learn how to stop eating sweets or other food you are graving for, it might be helpful to incorporate more protein into your diet. It seems that protein improves the function of dopamine, also known as one of the 'happy hormones' and one of the main ones involved in creating cravings.

Protein helps combat the effects of menopause on muscles and bones
The older women get, the more important it becomes to eat enough protein. This is, because of women’s natural decline in estrogen that starts during perimenopause. One of the biggest signs of menopause is a loss of muscle mass and even so a loss of muscle mass may not seem to be significant, muscle atrophy may have a serious impact on the overall health.
As we age, protein is extremely important in order to maintain strong bones - especially for women, because during menopause, due to a drop in the hormone estrogen it is known that together with the decreasing muscle mass, bone mass density declines and makes people more prone to osteoporosis. Protein together with strength training seems to work against this process and may help to improve bone density. This organic product is an excellent source of protein essential in optimal nutrition. Older people who want to prevent the inevitable loss of muscle mass that occurs with age can benefit greatly from the excellent properties of pea and hemp protein.
