Soursop Guanábana Graviola 380mg, 120 vegecaps
Graviola, this exotic name stands for a very special tree from the Amazon region of South America. Its fruit is appreciated as a refreshing food by natives of the tropics, and its leaves are traditionally used to treat a variety of health problems. In recent years, this rain-forest tree has increasingly become the focus of scientific studies and built a bridge between the traditional medicine of native peoples and western medicine.
Due to its widespread cultivation, Graviola is one rain-forest plant that is not endangered at all, it does, however, illustrate just how valuable the genetic diversity of the rain-forest biosphere is for humans as a species. The rain forest of South America is the largest reservoir of botanical diversity on earth. Thus, the Amazon region is of crucial importance for biodiversity.
Valuable plant agent inside
Many active compounds and chemicals have been found in graviola, as scientists have been studying its properties since the 1940s. Acetogenins has demonstrated selective toxicity to cells at very low dosages, as little as 1 part per million. Four studies were published in 1998 which further specify the chemicals and acetogenins in graviola that are demonstrating the strongest antiviral properties. Annonaceous acetogenins are only found in the Annonaceae family (to which graviola belongs). Mode of action studies in three separate laboratories have recently determined that these acetogenins are superb inhibitors of enzyme processes that are only found in the membranes of tumor cells. This is why they are toxic to cells but have no toxicity to healthy cells.
